Ive Uninstalled Winaero From Windows 10 (pro 64 (Version 1703 Latest Build) but still retain the settings from Winaero Tweaker. Bold fonts, inactive color,etc. Nothing major, I just assumed the settings wouldnt stick. Am I lead to believe that I need to reinstall Winaero Tweaker, disable the settings to default then Uninstall Seems cumbersome. Notice slight longer boot time on ssd but its to be expected. Winaero is the best nonetheless.

When you change your current font in Office it also changes everything else on the screen. And it is not a font change, it is actually a font changing using a special Registry key. Microsoft Office saves its settings to a specific location in the Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts. In my case this key is blank. Microsoft Office is unaware of any changes I have made in Win 10 Tweaker, so it doesn’t overwrite the current keys with the ones I have changed in the software.
If you don’t like the way Microsoft Office changes its font you can open up a Command Prompt and change the font to the one you prefer.

I downloaded the new version 19.0 of Win10 Tweaker, and I notice that it only seems to apply in the drop-down menus and such. It seems to not apply to the main Windows (such as the start menu, taskbar, window buttons, etc) or even system menu’s. Is this the way it works with Win10 Tweaker? Do I need to apply the changes to all Windows, even if I’m not using them?
I see that the About section mentions that it is for the “1809” build, but my Win10 is 1607, so I am concerned it might not work, but I tried anyway.

In Windows 10, I am unable to change the windows title bar icon color from the content area; only in the content bar, without allowing me to manipulate in the content area. When I first used WinAero Tweaker I loved the fact that you could easily modify many parts of the system like fonts, start menu, start button, change theme and much more. It was really great to finally have something like that available to the public and with ease.
Today I can not find a single built-in feature that makes me actually want to use WinAero Tweaker. The Tweaks are very nice but I am looking for a program that is at least as good as Windows Tweaker. To be honest, I dont even like that program. I hate to sound like a windows fanboy but i am actually a Linux user (although i dont like how windows 10 looks, start menu, start button etc).
The problem is that WinAero Tweaker just feels antiquated because it allows you to easily modify so many things that were available in Windows Tweaker back when Windows 10 was in beta. The point of Windows Tweaker was to make it easy for a user without any advanced knowledge of the operating system to change how Windows looks, feel and works.
WinAero Tweaker does not support the same kind of simple “this is how it looks” changes that I am used to from Windows Tweaker. I am not complaining about the WinAero Tweaker, I am complaining about how I feel about it.
In addition to that, the entire software is a nightmare to operate; it is a little confusing to start, it does not like to work and it has many bugs. Now I think its important to note that this is just my experience.
If anyone is actually able to use WinAero Tweaker then I would love to know why you prefer it over Windows Tweaker and vice versa.
